Amanda and Shawn were married on May 20, at Pat's Peak in Henniker, NH.

It was a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and wonderfully cool temperatures. We started out at the hotel where everyone got dressed.

From there, Amanda and Shawn had their first look. My assistants (Carter, who has become famous around AliCaliPhoto, and the always fabulous Allie of Strouse Photography, who flew up specifically for this wedding) and I arrived early and scouted out a few possible locations and settled on a little hidden driveway across the street from the hotel. (Before we started the day of shooting we got permission from the owner of the property to take photos there. He was a little bit surprised that we'd want to take photos of a bride & groom there, but was definitely interested to have us do it. I don't think he imagined that we could come away with beautiful photos from his driveway.)

But, as you can see, it was quite the perfect location. Secluded enough for the couple to have privacy, and close enough to the hotel for the wedding party to join us when we were ready for them.

Once the pre-ceremony photos were finished, we made our way to Pat's Peak for the big show. Amanda and Shawn thought of everything when it came to their guests comfort during the ceremony. They provided plenty of cold water bottles along with bug spray for everyone. Genius! (So, if you're having an outdoor ceremony, take note and think about offering bug spray for your guests to use. Chances are that's one thing they didn't bring with them!)

Once the ceremony was over, we finished up wedding party and family photos and then made our way into the reception. Amanda and Shawn shared their first dance, followed by toasts from their best man and maids/matrons of honor.
