Kaydee & Tim were married at Glen Magna Farms in Danvers, MA. If you've never been, you should make a trip to visit this place. It's a historic house, which reminded me so much of the plantations I saw so often growing up in the South. And, while the house is beautiful, the grounds are really what is amazing about the place. The flowers and trees and landscaping is so beautiful! They also have a weeping beech tree from the mid-1800s that has tons of carvings in it from visitors and couples who have married at the location. Of course, they don't encourage carving into the tree as it can damage it and eventually kill it, so if you go visit, please don't carve into the tree! Just look at it and enjoy the beauty and imagine what that tree has seen over the last 150+ years.

Now, back to the wedding...

Kaydee's family is from Texas and I will tell you, it was music to my ears to hear them talk. It was a little piece of home.

Kaydee’s gift for Tim was unique. She had cufflinks made with parts of maps in them. One had the city where they met, and one had the city they got married in.

Kaydee's Uncle Jerry officiated the ceremony and it couldn't have gone better. He is the epitome of a cowboy from his black cowboy hat, all the way down to his boots. One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony was when he told Kaydee that the vows also included all the 2am feedings and diaper changes for any children they may have. Kaydee's face was PRICELESS. I think it said it all. I do believe if Kaydee and Tim have children, they will be sharing those duties. :o)

The reception was also a lot of fun. The toasts given by Kaydee's dad, Tim's mom and Tim's best man were so sweet and also, hilarious! I always love hearing the toasts because it really gives you a lot of insight into the couple and I feel like I know them even better after hearing the things their friends and family have to share about them. It also reminds me how fortunate I am to be able to share in such an intimate event of “strangers” week after week. Yet another reason I love weddings...
